Yaakov Berkowitz, a native of Brooklyn, NY, graduated MTA (YU's High School) in '99, and spent a year learning in Israel in Yeshivat Reishit Yerushalayim. He received his BA in Talmudic Law from Ner Israel Rabbinical College in '03, his Masters of Science in Information Systems and Technology from Johns Hopkins in '05, his rabbinical ordination (semicha) from HaRav Zalman Nechemia Goldberg in Yerushalayim in '05 and is currently working on his second Masters at Ner Israel. In addition to his academic pursuits he has also been involved in many different teaching and mentoring positions to students of all ages; these are just a few:

Yaakov is married to Essie (Grossman), who grew up in Baltimore, a graduate of Bais Yaakov with a BA in Special Education and currently in Nursing School.
